Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 13x9-inch pan with butter.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt. Addthe melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, egg yolk and vanilla. Stir until smooth.Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Scoop the dough into your greased 13x9-inch pan, pressing it evenly to cover the entire pan. Use a butter knife to gently score the dough into 12 squares. For each square, press M&M candies in the center to create a flower design.
Bake the cookie bars for 25-27 minutes, or until the edges are golden. Baking times may vary depending on your oven. Let cool. Then cut along the scored lines to create 12 perfect squares.
