Instructions

  • Prepare the Ingredients: Wash and dice the tomatoes, finely chop the red onion, cilantro, and jalapeños. Juice the limes (I used an electric juicer.)
  • Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the lime juice and chopped onion. Let it sit for 30 minutes. Then add  diced tomatoes, cilantro, and jalapeños. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in oil and sugar too.
  • Mix Well: Gently toss all the ingredients together until well combined. Be careful not to overmix, as you want to maintain some texture in the salsa.
  • Refrigerate: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the salsa to an airtight container. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. This also helps chill the salsa, enhancing its refreshing quality.
  • Serve: Once chilled, give the salsa a final stir and taste for seasoning. Adjust if necessary. Serve the salsa with tortilla chips, alongside tacos, grilled meats, or any other dishes you desire. Enjoy!
  • Storage: Store any leftover salsa in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Make sure to give it a stir before serving leftovers.

Notes

Fine Dice: Finely dice the tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, and other ingredients for a consistent texture. This ensures that every bite of salsa contains a perfect blend of flavors and textures.
