Sweetheart Cinnamon Rolls shaped like hearts are the perfect way to gain your sweetie's attention. All you need is a can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls and some sprinkles (if you like).
I'm sharing the recipe below, but first wanted to say that I was so excited to be able to demonstrate these adorable Sweetheart Cinnamon Rolls on Fox 5 in Atlanta. In addition to the cinnamon rolls, I also demonstrated Valentine Cookie Pops and Hershey's Bliss Crescent Rolls.
Valentine's Treats - As Seen on TV!
Since I was a finalist in the Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest in 2013 (and also in 2014), the folks at Pillsbury asked if I could demonstrate some EASY Valentine's Day treats on TV using some of their products. And of course I said yes! These are the three treats that I demonstrated: Sweetheart Cinnamon Rolls, Valentine Cookie Pops and Chocolate Filled Crescent Rolls. I made all three recipes at home to bring to the TVv set to show the finished product, then I demonstrated how to make them LIVE on TV. It was so exciting for me (I was so nervous)! But it went well and I didn't mess up, LOL! Click here to watch the video.
Here I am with the news team at Fox 5 Atlanta. Everyone there was so friendly and made me feel right at home!
How to make Valentine cookie pops
Use sugar cookie dough that is in sections. Place a popsicle stick into each cookie dough section.
Bake cookies (with the stick) on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake according to package directions.
Let cool and frost, then add sprinkles.
To make them extra cute, tie a ribbon around the sticks and place them in a flower pot with floral foam and tissue paper.
How to make chocolate filled crescent rolls
Divide refrigerated crescent roll dough into the pre-cut triangles.
Place one chocolate candy (such as Hershey's Bliss) in the center of each triangle.
Roll up the crescent rolls and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake according to package instructions.
For the chocolate drizzle, melt chocolate candies in the microwave for 20 seconds or more if needed (be careful not to burn the chocolate).
Drizzle chocolate over cooled rolls.
My Pillsbury Bake-Off Experience
If you're interested in reading more about my experience in the Pillsbury Bake-Off click here. I was a finalist in the 47th Pillsbury Bake-Off – 2014! My recipe was Lemon-Blueberry Muffins (they’re gluten free). I was also a finalist in the 46th Pillsbury Bake-Off with my recipe for German Chocolate Doughnuts. It was such a wonderful experience for me to meet 99 talented bakers and compete in a giant room with 100 mini kitchens. It was super cool and something I'll never forget. Getting to meet so many awesome bakers was the absolute best part for me!
