Cocoa powder - Use unsweetened cocoa powder.
Candy-coated chocolate eggs - For the robin eggs, Cadbury brand Easter eggs work well.

Here are the step-by-step instructions. First, remove frosting from store bought cake. Set aside.
Make frosting - In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating well after each addition. Add heavy cream and vanilla extract. Beat until light and fluffy. Tint the frosting with blue food coloring until you achieve the desired shade of robin's egg blue. You can also add a tiny amount of green to achieve a more authentic hue.
Frost the classic cake with blue frosting. Mix cocoa and vanilla together in a small bowl. Add a little water if it's too thick.
