German Chocolate Almond Thumbprint Cookies is a recipe post by Mom Loves Baking.
I created these cookies for a sponsored post on my Instagram page for Country Crock® Baking Sticks. They are a variation of an original recipe I created a few years ago called Almond Joy Thumbprint Cookies which are made with a store bought cookie dough. These German Chocolate Almond Thumbprint Cookies are made from scratch.
To describe the cookie - a chocolate thumbprint cookie base with coconut frosting, an almond and drizzled chocolate on top. It's the perfect cookie for a holiday cookie exchange party!
Here are the ingredients for the chocolate thumbprint cookie. This is the first time I used Country Crock Baking Sticks. They're really convenient because they are already softened. You don't have to wait for them to come to room temperature like butter.
After baking the chocolate thumbprint cookies, let them cool. Then add coconut frosting and one whole almond on each cookie.
Melt semi-sweet chocolate chips and drizzle over cookie. I used a zip-top sandwich bag with a little corner cut to pipe the chocolate onto the cookie.
I posted the recipe for German Chocolate Almond Thumbprint Cookies over on my Instagram page. Click here to get the recipe. If you make these yummy cookies, make sure to tag your photo #momlovesbaking over on Instagram!
