Salty Sweet Chocolate Bark - Sweet, good quality chocolate pairs perfectly with salty peanuts, pretzels and potato chips!
Are you a basketball fan? Me too! Well, let me clarify. My favorite teams are the ones my son and daughter are on. I absolutely LOVE to watch my kids play basketball. It's such a great game. Fast moving and so much fun to watch!
Sadly, my kids' basketball season has ended. Sniff, sniff. But the good news is that the college basketball playoffs are coming soon. If I can't watch my kids play basketball then I will be cheering on my favorite college team. Will you be watching? Sixty seven college basketball games starting March 15 with the FINAL FOUR on April 2 and the championship game on April 4. Mark your calendars if you're a fan!
Are you having a game day party? Salty Sweet Chocolate Bark is a tasty treat your guests will love snacking on while watching the game!
What is Salty Sweet Chocolate Bark?
Good quality chocolate, melted and spread onto a sheet pan, then topped with salty peanuts, pretzels and potato chips! Then you let it set. Break off pieces of bark to serve this delicious candy treat.
Making bark is a snap. Just 4 ingredients! It comes together so quickly and even a kid could make it (with a little help on the chocolate heating part).
How to make Salty Sweet Chocolate Bark
All you do is melt the chocolate in the microwave (make sure you follow the package instructions on the chocolate that you choose for the recipe). I used 24 ounces of good quality semisweet chocolate chips. Then pour the melted chocolate onto a parchment lined half sheet pan (or a 18"x15" cookie sheet with a raised edge). Spread chocolate almost to the edge of the pan. Immediately add your toppings.
Sprinkle with peanuts, broken pieces of pretzels and broken pieces of Pringles Original Potato Chips. Gently press topping, so it sticks to chocolate. Then refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour or until firm.
Break up chilled bark into pieces. You could have big or little pieces. Your choice.
Place on a serving dish and enjoy!
Make a fun "Go Team" sign for your party table. I used basketball themed scrapbook paper and cut to fit the Pringles Can. Then sprayed with adhesive spray and attached to can. Print a "Go Team" sign and tape to chop sticks or wooden popsicle sticks. Fill the can with dried beans and stick the sign in. Place on party table.
