I especially love this recipe because a small square goes a long way. The protein helps keep you full longer, making it easier to enjoy a little chocolate without overdoing it. Plus, it’s a great option if you’re dairy sensitive like I am and easy to customize with dairy-free chocolate or lactose-free yogurt.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much protein does this fudge have? The protein mainly comes from the Greek yogurt. Exact amounts will vary based on the brand you use.

• Is this recipe low carb? It can be lower carb depending on the chocolate chips you choose. Sugar-free or low-sugar chocolate will reduce carbs.

• Can I make this dairy-free? This recipe is lactose free if you use lactose free Greek yogurt but not dairy free. I would not recommend using dairy free yogurt because it’s too thin in consistency.

How should I store protein fudge? Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Can I freeze it? No, I do not recommend freezing this fudge because the sprinkles will get weird.

Notes

You could add chopped walnuts or pecans to the top instead of sprinkles for less sugar and a little extra protein. Use sugar free chocolate chips to cut down on sugar, if desired.
