INGREDIENT NOTES
Oreo: Buy a pack of regular Oreos from your local grocery store. If you prefer more of the cream on your Oreo, buy the double-stuffed Oreo cookies!
Hershey's: You will need 12 square (Each 2 piece sized) Hershey milk chocolate bar
Marshmallow: The best part of these cookies! Buy any brand that is regular-sized marshmallows
Cookie sheet: You'll need a cookie tray to bake them in the oven. You can use a regular-sized sheet as I did, or any pan works as long as the marshmallows do not touch. Parchment paper or a reusable mat is needed for the cookie sheet.
HOW TO MAKE Easy 3-Ingredient Oreo S'mores in the Oven
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or reusable mats. Carefully pull apart 12 Oreos. Make sure you slowly twist it off so the cream stays together and arrange it on the cookie sheet like you would with cookie dough (4x3) cream side up on the baking tray. Save the other plain sides of the remaining Oreos and set aside.
2. Grab a Hershey bar and break off two pieces at a time (so they look like squares). Use the two pieces (one square piece) to put on top of each Oreo.
3. Place a large marshmallow on top of each Oreo/Hershey piece on its side. Put your oven on broil and when heated up, carefully place the tray of s'more Oreos in the oven. Bake treat and watch them until they turn golden brown, this usually takes about 30 seconds.
4. Once taken out of the oven place the other side of the cookie on top of each Oreo and press down like a mini sandwich! Enjoy this simple dessert while melted and gooey for the best taste!! (Full instructions below on the recipe card)
QUICK TIPS
• Baking: When you bake dessert, ensure you watch it and only have the cookies in until the marshmallows are golden brown
• Oreos: Use double-stuffed Oreos if you prefer more stuffin'! Or change it up and use the golden Oreo.
• Chocolate: Use any type of Hershey bars you like- I just went with the old-fashioned s'more recipe! If you prefer dark or white chocolate use those! You can also use dairy-free chocolate bars or chocolate chips to make this dairy-free since Oreos are already non-dairy.
• Extra: To add more of the "s'more" factor to it add some graham crackers! You could place a small graham cracker in the middle or use one half Oreo cookie (with the cream on it) and one half graham cracker. You could also use the s'mores oreo if you like!
• Eating them: Make these for a fun snack for you or for your family or have them at the dessert table at a family dinner. Also, one of my favorite desserts to make for any last-minute special occasions!
• Leftovers: If you have some Oreo smores leftover, I recommend keeping them at room temperature in an airtight container, a Ziploc bag, or wrapped in plastic wrap for up to two to three days. However, I do not recommend putting them in the fridge-they are best served when the Oreos first come out of the oven!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
• Can I make these gluten-free? Yes, you can easily make these gluten-free by using the gluten-free Oreo. You can find these next to the regular Oreos in the grocery store aisle.
• How do I store these? Either store them in a ziploc bag or an airtight container for up to 2-3 days at room temperature. When you eat the leftovers, I recommend heating it up for a bit so it gets all gooey again. However, I highly recommend serving them when they first come out of the oven because that is when this perfect dessert tastes best!
• Can I make this dairy-free? Sure thing! Oreos are already dairy-free so all you would have to do is use a dairy-free chocolate instead of the Hershey chocolate!
